Liverpool have curtailed Fabio Carvalho’s loan at Red Bull Leipzig after a lack of game time.
The Reds youngster had been loaned to the German side for the 2023-24 campaign in the hope of building his first-team experiences abroad.
However, after starting just one match for Leipzig, Liverpool have opted to recall the youngster from his loan spell.
The former Fulham winger is now a target for Championship side Southampton, among others.
Carvalho arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2022 and has featured 21 times under Jürgen Klopp to date, scoring three goals.

Defenders Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams are also expected to cut short their respective loans.
26-year-old defender Phillips has been with Scottish Premiership side Celtic since the summer however has made just six appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Williams, meanwhile, joined fellow Scottish side Aberdeen however has only made one appearance in all competitions.
