Manchester United target Jobe Bellingham has flown out to Germany for transfer talks with Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report.
The midfielder played a key role as Sunderland earned promotion back to the Premier League for the first time in almost a decade at the weekend, yet it is looking increasingly likely that he will not be playing for the Black Cats next season.
Due to his promising performances in the Championship over the past couple of campaigns, the 19-year-old has illustrious suitors, and a transfer is becoming a genuine possibility.
Man Utd and other Premier League sides are known to hold a serious interest in the teenager, but Bellingham is reportedly keen on joining a side competing in the Champions League, thus essentially ruling out a move to Old Trafford.
Indeed, his next destination may actually be outside of England, with two Bundesliga clubs heavily pushing for his signature.
Bellingham in Germany for transfer talks
Borussia Dortmund have made him their undisputed top target for the summer transfer window, and they have been going above and beyond in recent weeks in their attempts to convince him as they are determined to have him available for the Club World Cup.
According to Sky Germany, Bellingham flew out to Germany on Monday morning for transfer talks – but shockingly not with Dortmund. The outlet claims that the England youth international has actually landed in Frankfurt for talks with Eintracht.

Frankfurt invited him to tour their facilities and to hold face-to-face talks over a summer move. Both Frankfurt and Dortmund – the latter in miraculous fashion – have qualified for next season’s Champions League and thus hold appeal.
The report makes sure to emphasise that Bellingham’s trip to Frankfurt is not a formal medical ahead of a guaranteed transfer. Dortmund remain firmly in the race, while RB Leipzig also hold an interest, although a move is highly unlikely given their lack of European football.
So far, no club has reached an agreement to sign Bellingham, who is expected to cost around €30 million this summer.
