Micah Richards has revealed which pundit made him think ‘what the f*** are you doing’ after pulling an all-nighter at Euro 2024.
The former England international has been working as a pundit for the BBC during the competition.
He has also maintained his work on the Rest is Football podcast alongside Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
One episode of the Rest is Football turned into a boozy night, as he decided to have an all-nighter before an early flight the next morning – something he described as the ‘worst decision’ of his life.
He told Alan Shearer on the most recent episode of the podcast: ‘Well, we had a few sherbets didn’t we, for those of you who don’t know, that’s a few glasses of red. I was feeling a little bit ropey.

Richards also told Alan Shearer (right) that a pundit made him think ‘what the f*** are you doing’
‘We came here and were filming the Rest is Football with Gary, I was with David Moyes and Thomas Frank as well.
‘It just became a long night and I left here about 2.30 in the morning and there’s a flight at 6am, I googled it and thought shall I go for it. I went for it, the worst decision of my life.
‘I don’t like turbulence anyway because I am scared of flying. I thought I’ll have a little nap, but turbulence on the flight. I didn’t get back until about 10 o’clock in the morning. I’d not slept a wink, straight to bed.’
Richards then went on to reveal that he was surprised by his co-pundit on Sky Sports Roy Keane, who had taken the same flight as him.
The Manchester United legend has also been working during the Euros on ITV’s coverage of the tournament.
Richards said: ‘It was an early flight, I could see a few people and they were trying to catch your eye and wanted to talk about football but I was knackered, so I am sorry if I was rude, I don’t mean to be.
‘I was walking up and someone grabbed me, I thought what the f*** are you doing.
‘He literally just lifted his peak and it was Roy Keane. I was like, what are the chances of being next to you. He wasn’t speaking to anyone. I was 1C and he was 1A there was a girl between us.’
Richards revealed that Keane grabbed him and he didn’t get any sleep on the plane and had to wait until he returned home
Lineker and Richards were attempting to record their podcast over the weekend when they were interrupted by Brentford boss Frank, and former West Ham manager David Moyes.
The pair couldn’t resist interrupting the recording with Moyes on one occasion remarking that his wine glass was empty and asked for a refill. He later stated ‘there’s slow service in here’.
