Chelsea’s hopes of signing Ajax defender Jorrel Hato have been damaged following news that Arsenal are determined to win the race for his signature.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been linked with a move for Hato for several months, although Chelsea have emerged as strong contenders to sign him in recent weeks.
However, Arsenal have made “important steps” in recent days, according to TEAMtalk, with Chelsea ending talks for the time being due to their participation at the Club World Cup.
Alejandro Garnacho decision
Alejandro Garnacho is eager to remain in the Premier League if he leaves Manchester United this summer, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Ruben Amorim has informed the Argentina international that he is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, and Chelsea are among the clubs monitoring his situation.
The Blues have shortlisted Garnacho as a potential target amid their pursuit of a new left winger, with Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens also on the club’s radar.
Jhon Duran to join?
