Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, according to a report.

The Saudi giants have given the Portuguese megastar a large say in this summer’s transfer business as they had to convince him to sign a new contract. Ronaldo ultimately penned fresh terms, and he now wields significant power at Al-Nassr.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Ronaldo has now ‘singled out’ Real Madrid winger Rodrygo as his ideal partner in Al-Nassr’s new-look attack, with the Riyadh outfit currently looking for a replacement for Jhon Duran, who is leaving for Fenerbahce just six months after his €77 million move.

The transfer insider states that an official budget has not yet been allocated for the pursuit of Rodrygo, but he posits that Al-Nassr will have almost unlimited funds available to lure him to the Saudi capital.

There has already been contact with Rodrygo’s entourage to see whether the Brazil international would be interested in a move to the Middle East. The answer they received wasn’t encouraging, however.

Rodrygo wants Arsenal

The journalist claims that Rodrygo has made it clear to Al-Nassr that his priority is a move to the Premier League if he is to leave Real Madrid this summer.

Los Blancos are open to selling him, but Rodrygo has yet to make a final decision on his future, despite his limited minutes under Xabi Alonso so far.

Arsenal have been in contact with the player’s camp as they view him as a dream target, and it seems that Rodrygo would be open to the move to North London.

Al-Nassr won’t be deterred that easily, however. Tavolieri claims that the Saudi giants will continue to ‘work hard’ on this deal and that they will look to make ‘an offer he can’t refuse.’
