Then we managed to turn things around and it was a good result but not a good performance,” Amorim admitted.
He was then questioned about whether the issue is the players, the system or the coach.
“It’s everything. The coach is the first one responsible. When a team doesn’t perform and doesn’t improve, it’s the coach. But we are here to see the game, study the game and try to improve for the next game,” Amorim said.

Preparations for the next game, which will be a Premier League clash against Tottenham on 16 February, started immediately in a twist that was probably unwelcomed for Man Utd’s misfiring stars.
Instead of holding a typical cooldown, Amorim drilled his players in what developed into a post-match training session on the Old Trafford pitch.
United confirmed the situation via a social media post: “Working for the badge. Some of the United squad completed a full training session at Old Trafford following the full-time whistle on Friday.”
Regardless of what Amorim’s faults are perceived to be at Man Utd, a lack of hard work clearly isn’t one of them.
