Joe Rogan made the embarrassing mistake of referring to a female fighter as a ‘young man’ at UFC 313 on Saturday night.
While calling the fights at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the veteran UFC commentator committed the error as 23-year-old strawweight Iasmin Lucindo geared up to face Amanda Lemos in the main card.
As Lucindo was getting checked before entering the Octagon, Rogan discussed her credentials alongside fellow commentators Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik.
As they discussed the age and experience gap between fighters, Rogan said, ‘Amanda Lemos is very dangerous.’
‘Very dangerous. But this young man has tremendous potential,’ the Joe Rogan Experience host continued.
Unfortunately, the 37-year-old Lemos got the best of the three-round contest and ended Lucindo’s four-fight win streak.

Although the younger fighter found some success in the third round, Lemos’ early dominance in a lackluster contest helped her secure a unanimous decision with 29-28’s across all scorecards.
The loss moved Lucindo to a 17-6 MMA record while Lemos improved to 15-4-1. Lucindo joined the UFC in August of 2022 and is 4-2 in the promotion.
So far in her career, Lucindo has eight victories by knockout and three by submission. Her lone finish in the UFC came in a win against Polyana Viana in April 2023.
Lucindo currently sits seventh in the UFC strawweight rankings, two spots behind Lemos.
