Real Madrid tempt Chelsea with HUGE swap transfer for ‘very interested’ Fernandez
Real Madrid could offer Chelsea an intriguing swap deal for Enzo Fernandez this summer, who is said to be ‘very interested’ in a move to the Spanish giants.
Chelsea smashed the British transfer record to sign Fernandez on deadline day in January 2023 but the Argentine has struggled to live up to his mammoth €121 million fee.

However, the 24-year-old is enjoying his best season for Chelsea with five assists and four goals in the Premier League this season, prompting Real to consider a move for the ex-Benfica midfielder.
With Fernandez still being under contract for another seven years and establishing himself as a leader under Enzo Maresca, Chelsea have no incentive to sell the Argentine superstar, especially for a cut-price.
Real are aware that Fernandez will command a significant fee and TEAMtalk report that they could offer Aurelien Tchouameni has a makeweight in any deal, with Chelsea having long-admired the French international.
Fernandez is described as being ‘very happy’ at Chelsea and wants to be part of a squad that brings success back to Stamford Bridge in the coming years but a call from Real would prove ‘hard to ignore’ according to the report.

Chelsea reluctant to part ways with Fernandez in midfield reshuffle
Tchouameni arrived at Real for €80m in 2022 from Monaco and has been a regular feature for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, however he has largely featured at centre-back this season due to injuries.
With Real eyeing another midfielder in the mould of Fernandez, Tchouameni may find himself down the pecking order in his preferred role, prompting the 25-year-old to consider his options.
Chelsea are open to restructuring their midfield, with offers likely to be considered for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and the ever-injured Romeo Lavia, while Andrey Santos is expected to feature in Maresca’s first team next season after impressing on loan at Strasbourg.
However, Fernandez is not a player that Chelsea are keen to cash in on, even with the prospect of Tchouameni as a replacement, and it would take a significant cash offer for the Blues to consider a world without their vice captain.
