giants fan here, so so happy for webby being able to go the distance!! he's been the rock of our team for a couple of years now and deserved to have this moment today. wishing all the best and a speedy recovery for kyle freeland, you hate to see a guy have to leave a game like that.
Was at the game not the highest scoring game but Webb’s pitching was fun to watch and cheer for !
Great movement on the 2-seam along with secondary pitches like change up and slider to upset hitters timing changing speeds. Webb can pitch and had good defense behind him to help get a complete game shutout. Great pitchers duel! Giants in good spot going into AS break.
Have not seen a Giants Torture game since Bochy was the coach in 2014. The Starting pitching then was so damn good they barely needed any run support.
Webb’s best outing this year. 0 walks, 10 K’s, strikes out the side in the 9th, 2 GIDP. With no room to spare, he really showed his brilliance.
Bummer with Freeland, tough to see a great duel end like that.

i was at there. what an amazing game and i sat directly behind home plate, i saw those pitches with my own eyes, amazing pitches.
I don't see why there shouldn't be more complete game shutouts in MLB. Managers are too cautious about the pitch count and should allow their starters to go the distance. Besides, it gives bullpens a break.
