Chelsea have opened initial talks with Manchester United regarding a deal for Alejandro Garnacho.
As reported by The Athletic, Garnacho is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge but there is currently a gap between United and Chelsea’s valuation of the player.
United are seeking in excess of £40million for the Argentina international.
However, the Blues currently value Garnacho at around £30million.
Chelsea feel that the price for Garnacho will drop if United secure the signing of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko has been given permission to undergo a medical ahead of a £74million move to United.

Ruben Amorim’s United are seeking in excess of £40million for the Argentina international
Ruben Amorim’s side have fended off competition from Newcastle to secure a deal for Sesko.
Garnacho, meanwhile, has been a strong candidate to depart Old Trafford this season after falling out of favour under Amorim.
In total Garnacho has played 144 games for United and has scored 26 goals, while he has provided 22 assists.
He won the FA Cup with United in the 2023-24 campaign and the EFL Cup in the previous season.
United have been determined to add to their attacking options this summer, with Matheus Cunha arriving from Wolves for £62.5m and Bryan Mbeumo joining from Brentford in a deal worth £71m.
Rasmus Hojlund has been linked with a move away from United, with AC Milan amongst the clubs that are monitoring the striker.
Speaking after United beat Bournemouth earlier in pre-season, Hojlund indicated that he was willing to stay and fight for his place.
He said: ‘I think my plan is very clear and that is for me to stay and fight for my spot whatever happens.

‘Competition is fine with me, it sharpens me.
‘I’m more than ready. I’m feeling sharp so I’m welcoming everything that comes. I think it’s good with competition and it only sharpens the team.
‘I’m still very young. I think people forget that sometimes, I’m only 22. Obviously, not every striker is scoring 100 goals at the age of 22. But I’ve learned a lot, I think you can see in my game.
