Daily Mail Sport understands Rogers, who has a sore ankle, is unlikely to feature in the friendlies against Marseille on August 9 or Villarreal on August 10.
But Emery and his coaching team have not yet ruled him out of the meeting with Eddie Howe’s team at Villa Park.
