Been a fan of Forrest since I was a kid, I'm 26 now. Btw Forrest Griffin is such a badass name.
I have fshd muscular dystrophy was diagnosed when I was 17 told I wouldn't make it to see 30 ….I'm 3 months away from being 40 ….I've been a fan since watching the vhs tapes in the 90s…I've actually met Forrest in Athens Georgia when I worked at the mall…I'm glad the UFC took great care of him…my fight has gotten harder and harder over the years…the pain some days are worse than others it's definitely been a fight to get to 40 I just hope it a little bit longer….I hope to one day go to an event but I have trouble walking talking just about struggle with everything….but that's what real fighters do they don't give up…they keep getting up…I fall a good bit and everytime I just take a deep breath and I slowly get back up…to quote one of my favorite lines …why do we fall Bruce so we can learn to pick ourselves up ….I will be fighting this until my last breathe…just want to say thanks for the UFC for bringing us some of the best fights.. sincerely John Alan sanders jr

Fun fact… my little brother was the first Make-a-Wish granted by the UFC. He got to meet Chuck Liddell at UFC 76. Got to go back stage at the arena in Anaheim, met several fighters then got to go the locker room after the fight and spend time with Chuck. Crazy thing was David Spade was back there too.
