That was a great game but it looked like that umpire was just getting tired and called that balk to end the game faster. The umpire basically won the game for them.

3 for 20 with runners in scoring position is a dreadful stat for cubs on a sunday.

I’m sorry, a person scored on a “balk” and we lost by that. Not a single baseball player above the age of 13 should be deceived in any way by someone flinching their glove
As a neutral, I was there and felt like Marlins played much better and aggressive, few swings in first half would have been easy home runs if not for the opposite wind. Cubs seem sloppy and uninterested.

Every time I watch an MLB highlight, I’m hit with a State Farm ad. No? YouTube, I don’t want to watch woke State Farm with blackface Jake.
Another tough loss for my Cubs. With virtually identical records there from two different planets. The Cubs have lost 7 of there last ten and 6 of those were all by one run. The Cubs were 2-4 against the Marlins this year and all 4 losses were by one run. Where would the Cubs be if they could win just a few of these one run games. Heart breaking! The Marlins only seem to win when it is by 1 run. I believe there 10-0 in 1 run games this year so far. It's incredible to see the polar opposites that these 2 teams are.
