Yair has been the most underrated fighter in the UFC for years after the Frankie loss.
I really love Yair both as a fighter and as a person. Glad he got the win because this man is a serious threat to Volkanovski.
My advice would be keep working hard on the wrestling-defence because it aint no one in FW-Division who can take Yair on their feets, you saw that with Holloway that felt Yair kicks and decided to wrestle him after his legs was pieced up.
Yair with his height against Volk is the best fight they can do in FW, Yair got a serious chance here. His striking is so beautiful, its my favourite technique in UFC when it comes to striking.
Yairs height and defence with his kicks will be great to have against volk, control the distance Yair and dont let him come close and Yair might get it.
But volk is volk, he just gave Islam a fight that was a close fight. Volk looked great in his last fights. Dominated Max at the third fight and Zombie was easy for him. Now this performence against Islam. Should still be 1th pound for pound, islam should not get his spot yet. Let them rematch in like october again, id like to see Volk vs Yair at the beginning of the summer. June maybe. What a fight that can be.
