Chelsea have launched a surprising bid for a Real Madrid star who would fit neatly into BlueCo’s project at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca’s side, who took a step towards Champions League football on Thursday as they defeated Tottenham 1-0, are seeking to sign Endrick from Los Blancos, according to Fichajes.

Real Madrid’s Endrick is wanted by Chelsea, who are hopeful that the Brazilian’s lack of playing time since moving to the Bernabeu last summer from Palmeiras can persuade him to make the leap to London.

The 18-year-old might have been impressive at times this season in scoring seven goals in 29 appearances, but he has featured for only 562 minutes. This has led to him growing unsettled in the Spanish capital, aware that Kylian Mbappe is holding down the centre-forward role in an impressive manner.

Chelsea are seeking to take advantage of this and have sent an offer of €70m for the forward, who has looked energetic and positive on the rare occasions he has been used.

The Blues are known to be seeking support for Nicolas Jackson in attack, and Endrick would surely get opportunities to shine. The Stamford Bridge club are also renowned for their willingness to invest heavily in youth.

Endrick could tempt Chelsea

With Madrid interested in Enzo Fernandez, there is naturally the possibility that a swap deal could be discussed. Los Blancos could use Endrick as a makeweight in a deal.

Although the World Cup winner was out of favour with Enzo Maresca earlier in the season, he has grown into a key player for the Blues, who are unlikely to be easily parted with him.

As such, it will take an imaginative bid for Real Madrid to land the Argentina international, and throwing Endrick into the offer might be just the sort of move required to get Chelsea to sell.
