Everton have confirmed the signing of Portuguese talent Youssef Chermiti after agreeing a £15m deal with Sporting Lisbon.
The 19-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract at Goodison Park that will run until June 2027.
After completing his move to join Sean Dyche’ side, Chermiti hailed the transfer as a ‘big move’ as he targets regular first-team opportunities in the Premier League.
Speaking to the club’s official website after being unveiled as a new Toffees star, Chermiti said: ‘It’s a big move for me. Joining Everton is a new beginning, a new page and I’m very happy to be here. It is a beautiful city and a beautiful club.
‘I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, my new teammates and to get to work with the coach. I want to embrace everything about the Club.
