Liverpool will have the chance to sell Luis Diaz to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr this summer as the Saudi Pro League steps up its drive to secure world-class talent.

It had been thought that Vinicius Junior was getting ready to team up with Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, who were said to be plotting a world-record bid for the Real Madrid ace, but TalkSport reports that the big-money offer will instead come from Al-Ahli.

With Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr still in need of attacking talent, they are set to turn their attentions towards Luis Diaz, who is a player that the Anfield club are thought to be willing to sacrifice in the summer in what promises to be something of an overhaul of their attack.

Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez could both potentially leave Merseyside, but Luis Diaz appears closest to a big-money exit, with the Colombia international boasting an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €69.3 million.

Ben Jacobs claims that Diaz is the likeliest alternative to Vini Jr at Al-Nassr, where he could join international team-mate Jhon Duran.

The report claims that Liverpool could be faced with an “irresistible” offer from the Saudi Pro League, with the suggestion made that a blank cheque will be written out to the Anfield club to name their price for the 28-year-old, who has little over two years to run on his Anfield contract.

World record Vini Jr deal loading…

If the Saudi Pro League gets its way, Diaz will not even be close to the most expensive signing of the summer as it aims to take advantage of the increasing rift between Vini Jr and the Real Madrid board to leverage a deal.

Echoing the exclusive published by FootballTransfers via the Transfers Podcast, TalkSport claims that Vini Jr is “attainable” this summer in what would be a blockbuster deal that would echo through the ages.

But with Al-Ahli the club set to be presented with the Brazil ace, the door is now open for Luis Diaz to join Ronaldo at Al-Nassr in what would be another explosive transfer.
