Manchester City have confirmed Mary Fowler has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The 22-year-old Matildas star had limped from the field during her side’s Women’s FA Cup semi-final defeat by rivals Manchester United.
It came after she had appeared to over stretch her right leg, in an attempt to recover a pass from team-mate Lily Murphy.
