Arsenal are close to coming to an agreement with Crystal Palace for the signing of Eberechi Eze.

That is according to Caught Offside, who report on Wednesday that negotiations between Arsenal and Palace for Eze are advancing well.

Caught Offside claims that the clause is £67.5m (€78m) and that Arsenal are close to finding an agreement with Palace on how to pay it.

The report states that Arsenal are offering an initial €52m, with the rest to be paid in performance-related bonuses that are easily met.

Caught Offside claims that Palace are in favour of this structure and that the agreement between the club is close.

This structure would allow Arsenal to have the finances to pay the fee and not fall foul of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability (PSR) rules.

The Gunners are very busy in the market and, having already secured Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga, they are working on many other targets such as Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Christian Norgaard.

Eze, who famously scored the winner in the FA Cup final against Man City, has become one of the Premier League’s most admired players in recent years.

He has played for Palace for five years, scoring 39 goals in 166 games.

He is expected to leave Palace this summer in order to make the next step up.

Eze has been capped 11 times by England, scoring one goal. He played at Euro 2024.

Eze has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €62.7m, so his release fee is not seriously above his true worth.
