Jurrien Timber could be set to secure a dream reunion with his twin brother Quinten as the Feyenoord midfielder is reportedly determined to join Arsenal.
The Netherlands international only has one year remaining on his current contract at Feyenoord and he has decided against signing a new deal as he wants to join his brother at Arsenal.
Quinten Timber has been heavily linked with a Premier League switch for several years, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs reportedly monitoring his development in the Eredivisie ahead of a possible swoop.
He has now set his sights on completing a sensational move to the Emirates Stadium, although it remains to be seen if Mikel Arteta’s side will pursue a transfer following the summer signings of both Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.
Quinten Timber dreams of Premier League transfer
In early 2024, after his brother’s move to Arsenal, Timber expressed his own desire to join a Premier League club.
“I love English football. Jurrien has that too. As a child, Arsenal was already his number one club,” he told De Telegraaf (via Sport Witness).
“That’s why it’s extra. It’s great that he plays there now. I didn’t have a favorite club myself, but I do enjoy watching the Premier League.
“It’s a great level and a very high pace. That’s ultimately what I strive for. It’s a dream to be there to play one day myself.”
He has now seemingly narrowed his focus and is determined on joining his twin brother at Arsenal, either for a transfer fee this summer or on a Bosman deal next year.
