FootballTransfers runs through all the latest Arsenal transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Victor Ozhianvuna and Eberechi Eze.

Record-breaking deal agreed

Shamrock Rovers teenager Victor Ozhianvuna has agreed to join Arsenal in a deal worth at least €2 million – which is a record for a League of Ireland player, The Irish Independent reports.

The Irish side have been entrusted the player’s development until he joins Arsenal, according to The Athletic.

Eberechi Eze truth

Eberechi Eze officially completed his move to Arsenal on Saturday and The Athletic have confirmed a major detail regarding his decision to snub Tottenham Hotspur for Mikel Arteta’s side.

The England international was reportedly happy to join Spurs, however he called Arteta before committing to the move as his preference was always to sign for Arsenal.

The Gunners boss informed him that a board meeting had been scheduled and just hours later, Arsenal had agreed a deal for his signature.

Jakub Kiwior update

Jakub Kiwior is closing in on a move to FC Porto, with the European giants “optimistic” of reaching an agreement for the Arsenal defender.

That is according to talkSPORT, who claim that Porto are set to sign Kiwior on a loan deal, with an obligation to buy. The Poland international has been on Porto’s radar for the entire summer, and a deal is now edging closer.

According to talkSPORT, Kiwior would prefer to leave the Premier League if he departs Arsenal.

Morgan Rogers was wanted

Arsenal were reportedly interested in signing Morgan Rogers and Morgan Gibbs-White before tying Ethan Nwaneri down to a new long-term deal.

The England U21 international is now contracted to the Gunners until x, however his existing deal was due to expire next summer and Arsenal were eager to explore several replacement options before settling on Eze as their top target.

That is according to The Athletic, who reported: “The club never wanted to sell Nwaneri, but there were fears it might come to that.

“Sensibly, Arsenal began exploring contingencies. They discussed Morgan Rogers and Morgan Gibbs-White, but it was Eze who held the most appeal.”

Although Nwaneri opted to extend his contract, Arsenal still decided to strengthen their squad with the addition of Eze following Kai Havertz’s injury.
