Arsenal are expected to complete six high-profile signings during the 2025 summer transfer window as they aim to back Mikel Arteta in the market.

The Gunners are without a major title since 2020 and they are set for a mega spending spree in a bid to end their trophyless drought next campaign.

Meanwhile, they are in advanced talks to sign Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera and they are confident of reaching an agreement for the Spain U21 international, despite seeing their opening offer of €19 million rejected, as per El Desmarque.

Arsenal will also complete the signing of a new centre forward – although the club are yet to decide whether to land Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko.

The Gunners are in talks with both players, but an agreement has not yet been reached with Sporting CP or RB Leipzig over the structure of a possible deal.

However, while Arsenal are yet to formally reach an agreement, they are still widely expected to purchase a new striker, with Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins also on their radar.

Arsenal want a new winger

Following the arrivals of Kepa, Norgaard, Zubimendi, Mosquera and either Gyokeres or Sesko, Arsenal will complete their sixth signing of the summer – a new winger.

The Gunners are eager to bolster their options out wide and they have outlined a five-man transfer shortlist, according to The Times.

Noni Madueke (Chelsea), Eberechi Eze (Arsenal), Rodrygo (Real Madrid), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) and Igor Paixao (Feyenoord) are all being pursued by Arteta’s side, while Arsenal are also interested in Nico Williams and Anthony Gordon, but they have accepted that both players will be too expensive.

Andrea Berta, the club’s new sporting director, has identified numerous different options, but he has reportedly settled on the aforementioned shortlist, and Arsenal are likely to intensify their pursuit of a new winger once their first five summer signings are confirmed.
