However, according to reports in Spain, Barcelona have now entered the race to sign Thuram and are looking to sign him on a free transfer when his contract with Monchengladbach expires in 2022.

Thuram has been in impressive form for Monchengladbach this season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in all competitions.

The France international has also been linked with a move to Juventus, but it appears that Barcelona are now in pole position to sign him.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to add more young talent to their squad and Thuram fits the bill perfectly. He is a versatile forward who can play anywhere across the front line and his pace and power make him a real threat in attack.

Thuram is also a very good dribbler and his ability to beat defenders one-on-one makes him a real asset.

It remains to be seen if Barcelona can convince Thuram to join them, but it looks like they are in pole position to sign him.

If Barcelona do manage to sign Thuram, it will be a major blow to both United and Chelsea, who were both reportedly interested in signing him.

It will also be a major coup for Barcelona, who will be able to sign one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards for free.
