Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in world football, winning a host of major trophies during their history, including 27 La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues.

Despite some recent financial difficulties, Barcelona are still seen as a dream destination for most players.

After a difficult few years, the Blaugrana returned to the top of Spanish football when winning the 2022/23 La Liga title.

Former star Xavi returned to dugout at Camp Nou to win that title, although he departed the club at the end of the 2023-24 season to be succeeded by Hansi Flick.

It is early days but, as of April 2024, Hansi Flick has one of the best win percentages for a Barcelona manager in the club’s history.

Who is the current Barcelona manager?

Hansi Flick is the current Barcelona manager. He was appointed after Xavi left his post at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Xavi departed after two-and-a-half seasons with the club, during which he won LaLiga on one occasion.

Former Bayern Munich and Germany head coach Hansi Flick agreed to take over from Xavi in May 2024.

Flick is on course for a successful first season as Barcelona are top of La Liga and still in the Champions League.

Flick enjoyed a brilliant spell as manager with Bayern, winning two Bundesliga titles and a Champions League. He was less successful as coach of Germany, being knocked out at the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
