Chelsea’s Premier League campaign continued with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues had the better of the chances throughout the game, but were unable to find a winner despite a strong performance from Ben Chilwell at wing-back.

The England international was a constant threat down the left flank, providing a number of dangerous crosses into the box and linking up well with Mason Mount and Timo Werner. Chilwell was also solid defensively, making a number of important tackles and interceptions to help keep Leeds at bay.

Kai Havertz, meanwhile, endured another frustrating afternoon in front of goal. The German international had a number of chances to break the deadlock, but was unable to find the back of the net. Havertz has now gone nine Premier League games without a goal, and his lack of confidence in front of goal is becoming increasingly evident.

Chelsea’s defence was also impressive, with Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger both putting in solid performances. The duo were able to keep Leeds’ dangerous attackers at bay, and Silva in particular was a calming presence at the back.

In midfield, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic were both impressive. The duo were able to control the tempo of the game and keep possession for long periods, while also providing a number of dangerous passes into the final third.

Overall, it was a solid performance from Chelsea, and they will be disappointed not to have taken all three points. However, they remain in the top four and will be looking to build on this performance in their next game against Manchester City.
