Ben Stokes Donates £50K to Pakistan Flood Relief

England cricket captain Ben Stokes has made a generous donation of £50,000 to Pakistan flood relief ahead of the first Test series in the country in 17 years.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the news on Wednesday, with Stokes donating the money to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS is a humanitarian organisation that provides relief and assistance to people affected by natural disasters, such as the recent floods in Pakistan.

The donation comes as England prepare to travel to Pakistan for the first time since 2003, when they last played a Test series in the country.

The series, which will take place in October and November, will be the first Test series in Pakistan since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009.

Stokes said he was delighted to be able to make the donation and hoped it would help those affected by the floods.

“I’m delighted to be able to make this donation to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society,” he said.

“The floods in Pakistan have had a devastating impact on the lives of so many people and I hope that this donation will help to make a difference.

“I’m looking forward to visiting Pakistan later this year and I’m sure it will be a great experience for the England team.”

The ECB also announced that it will be making a donation of £50,000 to the PRCS, which will be matched by Stokes’ donation.

The ECB’s Chief Executive Officer, Tom Harrison, said: “We are delighted to be able to make this donation to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.

“The floods in Pakistan have had a devastating impact on the lives of so many people and we hope that this donation will help to make a difference.

“We are looking forward to visiting Pakistan later this year and we are sure it will be a great experience for the England team.”

The donation from Stokes and the ECB is a welcome gesture of support for the people of Pakistan, who have been affected by the floods.

It is also a sign of the growing relationship between England and Pakistan, which has been strengthened by the recent Test series between the two countries.

The donation is a testament to the generosity of Stokes and the ECB, and it is hoped that it will help to make a difference to those affected by the floods.
