Brian Kilcline was a legendary figure in English football, having played for both Coventry City and Newcastle United during his career. Born in Coventry in 1961, Kilcline began his career with the Sky Blues in 1979, making his debut in a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion.

Kilcline quickly established himself as a key player for Coventry, and was part of the team that won the FA Cup in 1987. He was also part of the team that reached the FA Cup semi-finals in 1989, and was voted the club’s Player of the Year in 1990.

Kilcline’s performances for Coventry earned him a move to Newcastle United in 1991, where he quickly became a fan favourite. He was part of the team that won the Division One title in 1993, and was voted the club’s Player of the Year in 1994.
