Chelsea have booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals after a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues took the lead in the first half through a superb strike from Raheem Sterling, before Kai Havertz sealed the victory with a second-half header.

The result means that Chelsea have now progressed to the last eight of the competition for the first time since 2014, and they will be looking to go even further in the competition.

The game started off at a frantic pace, with both sides looking to take the initiative. Dortmund had the first chance of the game, as Erling Haaland was played through on goal, but his shot was well saved by Edouard Mendy.

Chelsea then began to take control of the game, and they took the lead in the 25th minute. Mason Mount played a superb through ball to Sterling, who took a touch before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.

The Blues then doubled their lead in the second half, as Havertz rose highest to head home a corner from Mount.

Dortmund tried to get back into the game, but they were unable to find a way past the Chelsea defence. The Blues held on to secure a 2-0 win, and they will now face either Porto or Juventus in the quarter-finals.

It was a superb performance from Chelsea, who showed their quality and resilience to secure a place in the last eight of the competition. Thomas Tuchel will be delighted with his side’s performance, and they will now be looking to go even further in the competition.
