Chelsea have pulled in more transfer revenue this summer after yet another deal with Strasbourg and they could also be close to finding a home for one of their forgotten stars.

The Blues have spent nearly €250 million on players this summer but they have raised €159m through sales, with youngster Ishe Samuels-Smith being the club’s latest departure.

The 19-year-old only joined Chelsea’s academy in 2023 from Everton for €4.7m but he failed to make a senior appearance at Stamford Bridge and has now joined affiliate club Strasbourg for €7.5m.

Defender Mamadou Sarr, who joined Chelsea from Strasbourg for €14m, is also expected to be loaned back to his former club along with Ecuadorian youngster Kendry Paez.

The outgoing deals could keep on coming for Chelsea after Fabrizio Romano confirmed talks with Sunderland and two other teams in Marc Guiu on a straight loan for the season with all his wages paid.

Chelsea set to complete double signings before turning to outgoings

Chelsea are expected to complete the signings of Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons in the coming days but the focus could then switch towards outgoings once again as they look to trim their squad down.

The likes of Raheem Sterling, Armando Broja and Renato Veiga have significant interest in them, while moves are also being sought for Christopher Nkunku, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi.

The futures of Carney Chukwuemeka, David Datro Fofana and Lesley Ugochukwu, while interest in first team players such as Nicolas Jackson and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could materialise into moves later in the summer.
