Chelsea are reportedly considering sacking Enzo Maresca this summer following a disappointing debut campaign at the club.
The Italian was appointed as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement in June, after guiding Leicester City to the Championship title last season, and he enjoyed an impressive start to life in west London.

As a result, concerns over Maresca’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge have arisen and a large section of Chelsea supporters have expressed their eagerness for the 45-year-old to be sacked.
Despite this, multiple reports have indicated that Chelsea will have patience with Maresca and are planning on keeping him at the helm for the 2025-26 season.

However, CaughtOffside claim that the Chelsea hierarchy are divided over whether to sack Maresca this summer, with many reportedly concerned by his style of play and Cole Palmer’s notable dip in form over the past few months.
Furthermore, if Chelsea fail to end the season strongly, Maresca could be in “real danger” as the Blues consider yet again managerial change.

What has Enzo Maresca said?
Following Chelsea’s shock 2-1 defeat to Legia Warsaw in the second leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final tie, Maresca insisted that he feels secure in his position at Stamford Bridge, despite rumours of an exit.
When asked whether he has the full support of the Chelsea owners, he told reporters: “Yeah, absolutely, yes.”
Maresca added: “I said yesterday, and if I need to, I’ll say it again. In the last two years, Chelsea has been zero times [in the] top four, top five. This season we spent all season, almost all season, top four, top five, Champions League spots.
“We are in a semi-final of a European competition. So why do we need to change something? I think I don’t have any doubt about what we are doing, in the way we are doing, and for different reasons.
“We had some bad moments or some setbacks, like tonight, during the season, for sure. But this, for me, makes us stronger for the future.”
