Burnley have officially signed Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
The Albania international has become the latest name in a long list of players sold by the Blues for an impressive fee. Chelsea are planning to have a blockbuster end to the transfer window, but they need sales before they can sign Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons.
In recent weeks, they have managed to offload several members of their ‘Bomb Squad,’ and there are still more players who are expected to leave Stamford Bridge before the window shuts.
Homegrown striker Broja has now officially completed a permanent transfer to Burnley, joining the promoted outfit for a total package believed to be in the region of €17.3 million, according to Sky Sports.
This fee is firmly in line with his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €16.8m, but given his lack of regular Premier League action over the past few seasons, this is an impressively negotiated deal. Other sources like Fabrizio Romano assert that Broja has fetched as much as €23m.
Burnley sign Broja
Broja has not played a competitive game for Chelsea since the first half of the 2023/24 season. That January, he moved to Fulham on loan before joining Everton temporarily in the summer of 2024.
The 23-year-old struggled to leave his mark at both clubs, making just eight appearances for Fulham and 11 for Everton, with injuries playing their part. Broja has struggled to consistently stay fit since his ACL rupture in 2022.

He has now become the second Chelsea player to join Burnley this week after Lesley Ugochukwu, who generated a whopping €28.7m for the West London giants.
“I am really excited to be here as a Burnley player,” Broja said after completing his move. “It’s a really positive time to be joining this club ahead of the start of the new Premier League season. I can’t wait to get going.”
“I’m feeling good, I’m ready, and I’m excited about the challenge of playing for this club. I can already feel the support from the Burnley fans – I can tell you all that I will be giving my all every time I pull on the famous claret shirt.”
