Chelsea have been warned that Dean Huijsen will push to join Real Madrid this summer if Los Blancos decide to submit a formal offer for the Bournemouth defender.
Huijsen, 20, is expected to leave the Vitality Stadium ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, following a stellar debut campaign at Bournemouth, amid significant transfer interest from the plethora of top European clubs.

The likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Real Madrid are all monitoring Huijsen’s progress, although Chelsea are widely considered to be the current favourites in the race for his signature.
Enzo Maresca’s side are actively pursuing a new centre-back this summer and they have identified Huijsen as a key target, along with Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite and Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.
Chelsea are set to sell Trevoh Chalobah, Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga in order to free up space for Huijsen, with the Spain international expected to play alongside Levi Colwill or Wesley Fofana if a move to Stamford Bridge is finalised.

Dean Huijsen update
However, Spanish publication Defensa Central have claimed that Huijsen will prioritise a move to Real Madrid if the 36-time La Liga winners “make a formal move to sign him.”
The 20-year-old has previously admitted his admiration for Los Blancos and playing in the Champions League could reportedly sway his decision, with Chelsea facing an uphill battle to secure a place in next season’s competition.
Furthermore, contrary to other reports, TBR Football claim that Liverpool are actually leading the race to sign Huijsen, despite the fact that Virgil van Dijk recently signed a contract extension at Anfield.
Arne Slot’s side are still searching for a new centre-back ahead of the summer window and they are pushing to agree a double deal with Bournemouth as they look to bring both Huijsen and Milos Kerkez to the club.
