Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez is not in talks to leave the club this summer, despite rumours of a bombshell transfer.

The Argentina international has established himself as one of Enzo Maresca’s most important players over the past few months, but he continues to be linked with a Stamford Bridge departure.

That is according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, who even claim that PSG have already submitted a €150 million offer for Fernandez in a bid to acquire his signature before the summer transfer window ends.

However, football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on such speculation.

He posted on X: “Reports from Spain on Paris Saint-Germain and Enzo Fernandez are completely wide of [the] mark. Zero talks, zero bids, zero chances for him to leave.”

Fernandez still has seven years remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have no intention of selling the 24-year-old as they look to establish themselves as contenders to win the Premier League title once again.

Enzo Fernandez to stay at Chelsea

Although Chelsea aren’t in talks over Fernandez’s future at the club, they are in advanced negotiations over several player sales ahead of the 2025-26 season.

The Blues are determined to reduce the size of Maresca’s first-team squad and they have added a number of stars to their transfer list, including the likes of Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Raheem Sterling.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also in talks to sign RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho as replacements for Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.
