Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo are the only players Chelsea will not entertain offers for this summer, according to a report.

The Blues took a massive step towards Champions League qualification on Friday as they beat Man Utd 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. Their final game of the Premier League season will see them take on fellow European challengers Nottingham Forest, so they have it all in their own hands.

Enzo Maresca’s stale, possession-based style has come in for harsh criticism as Chelsea have lost the exciting, all-action elements of their game the more the Italian has been able to imprint his philosophy.

Considering that Chelsea have a frontline that thrives in chaotic transition moments, their offensive output has suffered as a result. However, Chelsea’s owners continue to back Maresca, and they will not consider another coaching change this summer.

Chelsea’s two untouchables

As has been the case for most transfer windows in recent years, it is once again bound to big one for Chelsea, who have splashed the cash since the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital takeover in 2022.

Expensive purchases, however, need to be paid for with at least some big sales, and the BBC has somewhat surprisingly revealed that Chelsea only consider two players ‘untouchable’ this summer.

Moises Caicedo, who is subject to interest from Al-Nassr, and Cole Palmer are the only players the Blues won’t entertain offers for in the coming months.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Chelsea are gearing up for a huge exodus in the upcoming window, but it does mean that some intriguing names – such as Nicolas Jackson, Levi Colwill and Enzo Fernandez – could be available for the right price.

However, Chelsea are trying to be smarter in the market, and they have started to demand premium fees even for players deemed surplus to requirements, so doing business with the Stamford Bridge outfit won’t be easy.
