In a surprising turn of events during the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Sadeera Samarawickrama has taken over the wicketkeeping duties for Sri Lanka in place of Kusal Mendis. This unexpected change was prompted by an unfortunate injury to Mendis, who was taken to the hospital after suffering cramps.

Kusal Mendis hospitalized after stunning century

Mendis was the star of the show for Sri Lanka as he played an exceptional innings, scoring a breathtaking 122 runs from just 77 balls.
