Cristian Romero has opened up on his controversial celebration in the face of Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe during Tottenham’s Champions League win over the French champions.
The Argentine defender, who is on loan from Juventus, was seen celebrating in Mbappe’s face after Spurs’ 3-1 victory at the Parc des Princes.
Romero, who was making his first start for Spurs, was seen running towards Mbappe and pointing his finger in the World Cup winner’s face.
The 22-year-old has now spoken out about the incident and made no apologies for his actions.
“It was a beautiful moment for me,” Romero told Sky Sports. “I was very happy to be able to help the team and to be able to celebrate with my teammates.
