Cristiano Ronaldo reveals he loves being back in the Prem after Man Utd’s thrilling win at West Ham

CRISTIANO RONALDO is loving life back in the Premier League as he netted his third league goal in two games.

The 36-year-old scored two on his second debut for Manchester United against Newcastle on Saturday, September 11.

Ronaldo then followed it up with a goal in the Champions League against Young Boys.

But the Red Devils fell apart after an Aaron Wan-Bissaka red card and they shockingly lost the game 2-1.

And in Sunday’s clash against West Ham, the legendary forward scored the equaliser, cancelling out Said Benrahma’s first half opener.

Ronaldo was picked out by fellow countryman Bruno Fernandes, he saw his first effort saved by Lukasz Fabianski, but made sure to finish off the rebound.

United went on to win the game 2-1 with Jesse Lingard scoring a stunning winner in the dying minutes.

On the win, Ronaldo said on Instagram: “Every game in the Premier League is always an amazing fight for the three points.

“Today we got to see a glimpse of all the obstacles that we will find on our way, but we have to keep our mind set on our goals.

“Together! Strong! Focused! Let’s go, Devils!”

Ronaldo possibly could have had a hat-trick.

The forward saw two penalty claims turned down in the second half by referee Martin Atkinson, backed up by VAR.

The first saw Ronaldo knock the ball past West Ham right-back Vladmir Coufal, but a clash of knees stopped him dead in his tracks and a spot-kick wasn’t awarded.

Ronaldo then saw a second penalty appeal turned down after he was seemingly brought down in added time by Hammers summer signing Kurt Zouma.

But upon replay, Ronaldo appeared to be going down before any contact was made and the referee waived away his claims once again.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saw it differently to referee Atkinson.

After the win, Solskjaer said: “The first and the last are stonewall and you cannot even argue against them.

“The lad puts his foot out and Cristiano runs straight and he is fouled.

“The last one – Paul had a foul against Kurt Zouma.

“He did not touch him but he went over him so why is Cristano’s third appeal not a penalty?

“Hopefully it will not be ‘Cristiano is never going to be a penalty’.”
