UFC President Dana White has responded to allegations that Conor McGregor received preferential treatment on the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).
The allegations stem from a recent episode of the show, which featured McGregor coaching opposite Urijah Faber. During the episode, McGregor was seen giving his team members advice and encouragement, while Faber was seen being more hands-off with his team.
In response to the allegations, White said that McGregor was simply being himself and that he was not given any preferential treatment.
“Conor is Conor,” White said. “He’s a passionate guy and he’s very involved with his team. He’s not getting any preferential treatment. He’s just being himself.”
White also noted that McGregor’s involvement with his team was not out of the ordinary for a coach on the show.
“It’s not like he’s doing something that no other coach has ever done before,” White said. “Every coach on the show is involved with their team and gives them advice and encouragement.”
White also said that McGregor’s involvement with his team was beneficial for the show.
“Conor’s involvement with his team has been great for the show,” White said. “He’s been able to bring out the best in his team and it’s been great to watch.”
