Everton are monitoring the situation with Manchester City’s soon-to-depart Jack Grealish.
Inside Sport understands that no talks have taken place between the two clubs, but that the Merseyside outfit is aware of Grealish’s availability.
Any potential move would be likely to be in the shape of a loan deal, with the former Aston Villa man’s £300,000-a-week wages an issue with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules continuing to trigger headaches across the competition.
However, bringing the England international to Bramley-Moore Dock would be seen as a serious statement of intent for the club’s new owners, the Friedkin Group.
David Moyes has long been an admirer of Grealish, and heaped praise on the winger in during his time at Villa.
‘He is a really good player and probably the best player in the Premier League at this time,’ Moyes said in 2021.
Everton have joined the race to sign out-of-favour Man City star Jack Grealish this summer

The move would be a statement of intent from the Toffees as they prepare for the first Premier League campaign in their new home

David Moyes has long been an admirer of Grealish, and in 2021 called him ‘the best player in the league right now’
‘He has done such a big job at that club and is probably the best player in the league right now.’
There are expected to be no shortage of suitors for Grealish, both at home and abroad.
The news comes just days after it was reported that the 29-year-old is set to be excluded from City’s squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.
Grealish and his representatives will instead be permitted to focus on finding him a move away from the Etihad Stadium, as he seeks to force himself into England’s World Cup plans.
Asked about Grealish’ situation this week Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel claimed Grealish will need to feature more frequently to have any hope of featuring next summer.
‘He’s a unique player but he needs minutes and minutes and minutes, and he simply does not get them.’ Tuchel said.
‘He needs to make himself available by playing.’
