It is with great sadness that the wrestling world has learned of the passing of Jaysin Strife, aged 37. Strife was a former WWE and AEW wrestler who had been battling a long-term health issue.
Jaysin Strife was born in 1983 and began his wrestling career in the early 2000s. He quickly rose to prominence in the wrestling world, becoming a fan favorite for his high-flying moves and charismatic personality. He was a regular on the independent wrestling circuit, competing in promotions such as Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and Combat Zone Wrestling.
In 2011, Strife signed with WWE and made his debut on the main roster in 2012. He quickly became a fan favorite, competing in matches against the likes of John Cena, CM Punk, and The Miz. He was also part of the NXT roster, competing in matches against the likes of Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn.
In 2016, Strife left WWE and returned to the independent wrestling scene. He competed in promotions such as Impact Wrestling, House of Hardcore, and All Elite Wrestling. He was a regular on AEW’s weekly show, Dynamite, and was part of the AEW Tag Team Championship tournament.
Sadly, Strife had been battling a long-term health issue for some time. On April 8th, 2021, it was announced that Strife had passed away at the age of 37. The wrestling world has been mourning the loss of Strife, with many of his peers and colleagues paying tribute to him on social media.
