Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update that will delight Barcelona fans, with the Camp Nou side set to drop a major official announcement soon.

Barca effectively sealed another LaLiga title on Sunday as they came from two goals down to defeat Real Madrid 4-3.

The Catalan side have regained their reputation as being one of the best sides to watch in world football, and to that end they want to reward head coach Hansi Flick, who has agreed a fresh two-year deal with the club.

“It’s all done and set to be sealed this month with a formal signature, but already approved with contract drafts.

“Official soon. One more year for Flick at Barca.”

Raphinha close to new contract

Romano’s update arrived after Mundo Deportivo reported that talks had successfully been held between Flick’s agent Pini Zahavi and the club.

The Spanish source also claims that Raphinha is nearing an agreement with the club that will see him sign a new contract until 2029.

“While some details remain to be resolved, including the release clause, those close to the player assure that there will be no problems and that the agreement is practically sealed,” the Catalan newspaper reports.

While there is still interest from the Saudi Pro League in the Ballon d’Or candidate, Raphinha wants to stay at Barcelona due to the sporting project that is on offer.

He is set to sign a new deal that runs for four years, an extension of two years onto his current agreement.

Raphinha has gone public on his desire to stay at the club.

Following El Clasico, he was asked what’s next for him. He simply replied: “My renewal.”

With Romano reporting a contract for Flick is close and a deal for Raphinha very much in the pipeline, Barcelona’s preparations for next season are all going smoothly.
