Five Reasons Chelsea Beat Dortmund in Champions League

Chelsea’s dramatic comeback win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League was one of the most thrilling matches of the season. The Blues were down 3-0 at half-time, but managed to turn the game around and win 4-3. Here are five reasons why Chelsea were able to pull off this incredible victory.

1. Tammy Abraham: The young English striker was the star of the show for Chelsea, scoring two goals and providing an assist. His first goal was a brilliant header from a corner, and his second was a composed finish from a tight angle. He also provided the assist for the winning goal, showing his quality in the final third.

2. Jorginho: The Italian midfielder was the engine of the team, controlling the tempo of the game and dictating play from the middle of the park. He was also able to break up Dortmund’s attacks and launch Chelsea’s counter-attacks.

3. N’Golo Kante: The French midfielder was a rock in the middle of the park, winning the ball back and launching Chelsea’s attacks. He was also able to break up Dortmund’s attacks and provide a defensive shield for the back four.

4. Mason Mount: The young English midfielder was a constant threat going forward, creating chances and providing the assist for Abraham’s first goal. He was also able to press Dortmund’s players and win the ball back in dangerous areas.

5. Frank Lampard: The Chelsea manager deserves a lot of credit for his tactical changes at half-time. He switched to a more attacking formation and instructed his players to press higher up the pitch, which allowed them to take control of the game.

One cause for concern after the win is the lack of defensive solidity. Chelsea were able to score four goals, but they also conceded three. This is something that Lampard will need to address if they are to progress further in the competition.
