News of Oasis’ reunion has taken the world by storm as the Manchester City-loving brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite to send the rock’n’roll world into overdrive.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut studio album ‘Definitely Maybe’, eagle-eyed football fans have spotted three footballers that appear on the cover of the legendary album.
Oasis have held a long passion for football, with Man City regularly playing their songs before and after games and both brothers often popping up at matches and following the team around Europe.
The Definitely Maybe album had worked its way into musical folklore and those that feature on the cover celebrated similarly successful careers on the football pitch.
Manchester City icon Rodney Marsh is one of the most prominent profiles on the album with an A4 picture of him nestled underneath a fire place in the iconic album cover.

The former England international made nine appearances for the Three Lions while also previously breaking the club’s transfer record when he joined from QPR in a £200k deal in 1972.
He went on to become the club’s star player during his time at Maine Road, scoring 38 goals in 130 appearances for City where his legendary performances later earned himself big fans in the form of Oasis.
In contrast, Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend George Best also features on the cover, with an image of him placed on the window frame next to wear Noel is stood.

Best previously won the Ballon d’Or in 1968 while starring for United as he was hailed the best player in the world and later finishing his career with 161 goals for the club.
The magical footballer sadly passed away following well-documented battles with alcohol abuse at the age of 59 and Oasis later paid a memorable tribute in Best’s home city of Belfast following his death.
Meanwhile, another iconic footballer failed to make the front cover of the ‘Definitely Maybe’ record but did secure a place inside where former Leicester player Steve Walsh figures.
Walsh was given a place on the back of the album after scoring the winner in the 1994 play-off final against Derby.
