Aberdeen chief executive Alan Burrows insists the Dons are prepared to go an SPFL tribunal if they can’t agree compensation with Rangers for Connor Barron.
The 21-year-old midfielder last week signed a four-year deal at Ibrox.
Having come through the ranks at Pittodrie, Aberdeen are due financial recompense for the part they played in developing the player.
Addressing the matter publicly for the first time, Burrows insisted that his club would do whatever was required to get the fee they believe they are due.
‘If there isn’t agreement between the two clubs then we are fully prepared to go to a tribunal,’ he said.

‘It is our job to get the best value for any player and we will try and do that with Connor Barron.
‘Ideally, in all walks of life, we would like to avoid situations where you have to go to tribunals but, if we have to, we will.’
