Al-Ettifaq have moved fifth in the Saudi Pro League after picking up a 3-1 win over Damak on Saturday.
Captain Jordan Henderson led by example as he picked up two first-half assists, leading his side to a third win in five games.
They were made to work for the win, after former Tottenham and Burnley winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou opened the scoring from the penalty spot after seven minutes.
The hosts were soon back on top in a frenetic first-half, with Henderson twice setting up Moussa Dembele, who British fans may remember from spells at Fulham and Celtic, in the first 25 minutes to make it 2-1.
