Alejandro Garnacho’s brother has revealed that the Man United winger was dealing with a hamstring problem prior to playing the full 120 minutes in Sunday’s FA Cup win over Liverpool.
United beat their rivals in a thrilling clash to book their place in the semi-finals with Amad Diallo netting the winner in the last minute of extra-time.
Garnacho assisted the dramatic winning goal which came via an end-to-end counter attac.
And it’s even more impressive that he did so after his brother Robert confirmed that his prreparations for the game were impeded.
He posted on X: ‘Garnacho has trained 2 days this week due to a hamstring injury.
‘Still he is there running 120 minutes and giving the winning assist. I’m proud of you BIG BRO
