Christian Norgaard’s stoppage-time equaliser sealed a stunning point for Brentford after the Bees fought back from 2-0 down to hold Manchester City to a 2-2 draw.
Phil Foden struck twice to put the visitors seemingly in the ascendancy with only 12 minutes left of normal time, and well on the way to an important win to continue their upturn in form.
However Yoane Wissa scored from close range on 82 minutes to set up a grand stand finish with both teams quick to counter throughout the thrilling encounter, before Norgaard’s 92nd-minute heroics.
The header had just too much on it for Stefan Ortega to keep it out, and Thomas Frank’s celebrations on the touchline highlighted just how big a point it was for his side.
