It’s All Kicking Off! co-host Chris Sutton has picked out the Arsenal first-team star who is being treated like Pele amid the club’s injury crisis in attack.
The Gunners failed to bolster their frontline in January, and that has come back to haunt them following injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli.
Kai Havertz became the latest player to be sidelined on Thursday when it was confirmed he will miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.
Arsenal are currently seven points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League, and will likely need to spread their goals around the team if they are to chase down the Reds.
But Sutton believes excuses are already being made for Arsenal potentially falling short of winning silverware again, and has mocked fans for acting like one of their injured players is comparable to Pele in his importance to the team.
