Cristiano Ronaldo took the 200th penalty of his career as he helped Al-Nassr secure a 2-0 victory at home to Damac in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo scored both of his side’s goals, with the opener coming from the spot in the 17th minute.

The Portuguese superstar proceeded to add a second goal from close range after being found by Nawaf Al-Boushal.

Ronaldo boasts an impressive conversion rate of 84.5 per cent with regards to penalties – he has scored 169 of his 200 spot-kicks (not including shoot-outs), as reported by a user on Reddit.

Statistics show that Ronaldo has a higher penalty conversion rate than Lionel Messi, who has scored 111 of his 142 penalties at a rate of 78.17 per cent.

However, Ronaldo has a worse conversion rate than Robert Lewandowksi, whose record of 87 goals from 104 penalties gives him a return of 89.36 per cent.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane has scored 84 goals from 95 penalties, which is a conversion rate of 88.42 per cent. 

As usual, Ronaldo has been prolific this season – he has scored nine goals in eleven league appearances so far. 

Sadio Mane also featured for Al-Nassr, who were beaten by Al-Qadsiah in their previous league game.  

Al-Nassr’s victory sees them keep the pressure on Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, the two sides who are above them in the table.

Al-Ittihad are currently five points ahead of Al-Nassr and are two points above Al-Hilal.

On Saturday Al-Ittihad are in action as they face Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq away. Meanwhile, Al-Hilal travel to take on Al-Shabab.

Next up for Al-Nassr is a home game against Al-Sadd in the AFC Champions League. 

Ronaldo is eager to end his lengthy wait for a league title, with his last such trophy having come in the 2019-20 season when he won Serie A with Juventus.
