The New York Red Bulls won their first match at home this season and their second in a row as they beat FC Dallas 2-1.
In a rain-soaked affair, it was new arrival Emil Forsberg who was the star of the show – as he bagged a goal and an assist to lead his new team to success.
Scottish winger Lewis Morgan won a penalty early on in the match, which Forsberg converted to bag his first goal for his new club.
In the second half, Forsberg returned the favor and slid a pass across to Morgan to take a 2-0 lead.
Dallas forward Jesus Ferreira made things interesting, scoring shortly after the Red Bulls doubled their advantage on a free kick that went under the RBNY wall.
But the men of coach Sandro Schwarz held on for a victory – sending those who made the trek out to Harrison, New Jersey home happy.
